Please join the Industry Council for Small Business Development and local Bay Area business owners for a seminar presented by Sylvia Oliverez, Broker/Consultant at Be Well Insurance Solutions, and Leyla Hanson, CPA, tax accountant and instructor at Foothill College. Sylvia and Leyla will discuss and help you better understand the key components of the healthcare reform legislation, and how it will affect you personally and as a business owner.

Sylvia Oliverez (CA Lic. # 0B78529) has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, and is a licensed broker and account manager in employee benefits. Sylvia holds a B.S. in Business Administration & Economics and graduate certificates in Public Relations and Human Resource Management. Sylvia is fluent in both Spanish and English; and her “free look” at the market helps you compare what you currently have to the most competitive alternatives available, so that you can make a fully informed decision.

Leyla Hanson is a CPA with over 20 years in corporate accounting and tax. Since 2003, she has had her own CPA firm in Sunnyvale. Leyla’s practice is devoted to tax planning and tax compliance with respect to individuals and small businesses, primarily focused on S corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietors. Leyla has a Master of Science in Taxation from San Jose State University, an MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (more commonly known as Thunderbird), and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Free to ICSBD Members and $10 for Non-Members and Guests. Seating is limited for this seminar, so pre-registration is required. The monthly ICSBD Luncheon will be held immediately following this Seminar. Guests are encouraged to attend, and the $10 registration fee will be applied to your luncheon fee.
